mobilisation sociale contre les grossesses précoces, le 15 février 2020,

Le 14 février de chaque année, plusieurs communautés célèbrent la fête de la Saint Valentin
ou l’amour. C’est généralement l’occasion pour les adolescents, jeunes, personnes
âgées… de renouveler, de témoigner ou de déclarer leur flamme pour l’âme sœur.
Cette intention qui renforce les liens se traduit en majorité par les cadeaux,
les déclarations poétiques, les sorties glamours, et bien d’autres encore. Chez
les adolescents et jeunes de 10 à 19 ans, la célébration de la Saint Valentin
est l’occasion pour une large majorité d’adopter des comportements peu
responsables, menant généralement à la tenue des premiers rapports sexuels.

Avec un niveau de connaissance très bas en matière de sexualité et surtout des risques liés à une sexualité précoce, ils se retrouvent sous l’emprise des grossesses précoces et non désirées, des IST et du VIH/Sida avec à la clé des traumatismes psychologiques. Ces situations à risque sont pour la plupart dues à un manque de préparation, de consentement et d’immaturité de morphologique. Elles provoquent plus tard des conséquences énormes comme les échecs répétés, l’abandon des classes ou de l’apprentissage, des activités génératrices de revenus…

Pour apporter une réponse efficace au problème des grossesses précoces en milieu scolaire et extra scolaire, l’Association pour l’Education la Sexualité et la Santé en Afrique (APESSA) à travers le projet N’TCHITE a organisé une journée de mobilisation sociale contre les grossesses précoces, le 15 février 2020, simultanément à Bohicon et Parakou.
Pleine d’innovations, cette journée a permis à plusieurs centaines d’adolescents et jeunes, ainsi qu’à leurs parents de partager des informations essentielles à leur sexualité à travers un programme d’exception composé entre autres activités, d’une séance de fitness avec le coach #FabDjento, des échanges avec des psychologues et un coach en développement personnel, des échanges en santé sexuelle et reproductive avec des spécialistes SRAJ, des prestations artistiques et projection de films, des séances de dépistage volontaire des IST/VIH. Des activités ludiques étaient également mises à la disposition des jeunes sur les sites ayant abrité la mobilisation sociale.
